Aaniin, hi!​

Welcome to the Fisheries and Integrated Coastal Health (FICH) Lab. We are a new research group at the University of Victoria (est. 2026).

We are grateful visitors on the territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt) and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples. Upholding Indigenous sovereignty is a key tenet of our work and is integrated throughout our practice. We are honoured to work with, and on the territories of, the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation, the Musgamagw Dzawada’enuxw Peoples, the ʼNa̱mgis First Nation, and the Mamalilikulla First Nation.
